Saturday 6/1/13 12:00-3:00pm: RELAX RENEW REFRESH for CAREGIVERS $45 Those who are caregivers to others (either personal or professional) often neglect their own self-care, which can lead to burnout. This workshop will include a 10 minute massage as well as meditation, stress management and discussion of issues of particular concern to caregivers such as preventing burnout. Beginning May 13th: Leigh Anne Booth will offer Yoga Pilates Fusion on MOndays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30am
Beginning May 8th: Yoga for Young Athletes- This class will be provided as a drop-in class starting May 8th from 3:30-4:30pm and will be open to boys and girls 8- 13 years old. Joan St Clair will move children through various postures to correct muscle imbalances created from repetitive motion like running, cycling or swimming; correct structural imbalances created from sports like tennis, baseball and golf; and prevent injuries from overuse during sports. Emphasis will be placed on increasing strength, expanding the lung capacity, and developing mental focus required for optimal sports performance. Beginning May 12th: Primary 101: Intro to Ashtanga- This 8-week beginner series focuses not only on learning the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, but also learning Alignment, the use of Props, posture Modifications, and body Mechanics that make Ashtanga Yoga accessible to everyBODY. This series will also be exploring the heart of Ashtanga Yoga...Ujjayi Pranayama, and the three primary bandhas or energy locks of the body. This series is open to all levels and is a great precurser to Barbara Stanley's Workshop: Exploring the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga.
