That’s what this beginner-friendly Hatha yoga class will do for you—build a solid foundation for a lifelong yoga practice. In this gentle, yet challenging class you will learn how to stretch, strengthen, and relax your mind and body. You will be guided through the proper execution of postures with focus on anatomy, alignment, and breath work. The knowledge of alignment and of your own body gained in this class will translate to a safe, effective practice anywhere your mat takes you. This alignment-based teaching is great for beginners, those who prefer a more gentle practice, and even the experienced practitioner who would like to learn more about their body within the expression of the asanas. Modifications of postures will be taught as well as full postures, and students will be encouraged to find the perfect expression of each posture for their unique body. Each class will incorporate physical postures, breathwork, and meditation/relaxation. Students in this class will utilize blocks, straps, walls, partners, and various other props.
